FRAGLITE

FRAGLITE FAQ

Is FRAGLITE free?

Yes. FRAGLITE is free to play in your browser. There's nothing to download or install and you don't need an account; signing in (with Google) is only for the cups and leagues.

Is FRAGLITE Unreal Tournament or Quake?

No. It's an independent, fan-made game inspired by Unreal Tournament (UT99) and Quake III Arena - instagib, deathmatch, capture the flag, dodging and jump pads - but it's a new top-down game, not a port or a remake, and it isn't affiliated with Epic Games or id Software.

Can I play a quick game right now?

Yes. The FRAGLITE servers are always on and bots fill the empty slots, so you can open the page, press Play and be in a match within seconds - no matchmaking queue.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes - it has touch controls (one stick to move and aim, FIRE and dodge buttons) and runs in mobile browsers that support WebGL 2. It's built for keyboard and mouse, though: on the public servers, computer players have the edge. A gamepad works too.

How do I play with my friends?

Press Create game: your browser hosts a room and you're its admin. Share the room code or the invite link from the Esc menu. You can make the room private with a password.

What is instagib?

A classic Unreal Tournament mutator: everyone has the same rifle and one hit kills. It makes matches fast and puts aim and movement first. FRAGLITE also has a Classic mode with weapons and pickups.

How many players can play?

Each game takes 2 to 10 players. Maps are made for 1v1, 2v2 or 5v5, but the person who creates the game picks the number.

Are there bots?

Yes. Bots fill any empty slots (you can switch them off in your own games) and come in six skill levels, from Stormtrooper (they fire a lot and hardly ever hit you) to Godlike.

Which browsers does it run in?

Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile - anything with WebGL 2.

Is there a league?

Yes. Sign in to join a clan and enter cups and leagues played on the official servers.
